7. CLEANING
7.1. THE CAST IRON FRONT.
Cleaning must preferably be carried out when
the Fireplace is cold, using slightly damp cloths.
7.2. THE DOOR GLAZING.
Stove glass cleaners are quite effective
products.
Never try to clean the glass while the fireplace
is working. We recommend you use HERGÓM
glass cleaner.
Replacement.
The glass in your Fireplace is
thermal, manufacturing especially for wood and/or
coal-burning fireplaces. In the event of breakage, it
must be replaced by another with the same
characteristics. Contact our Distributor for the
appropriate glass, together with the fitting
instructions and seals.
7.3. THE DEFLECTOR PLATE.
1. Slide the deflector plate (“A”) forwards
(direction “B”) until the securing pivots on the
sides coincide with the notches, making the
plate fall (direction “C”).
2. Clean the deflector plate on both sides every
season using a hard (wire) brush. This
favours heat transmission through the plate
and avoids wear to a great extent.
3. Refit the deflector plate following the above
process in reverse order.
7.4. SEALS.
At the start and in the middle of each season,
we recommend you visually check the condition of
the seals (doors, glass, etc.) and part sealing in
case they have to be replaced or repaired.
