Step 1: Place the chainsaw on a flat, exposed surface and ensure that no objects or
obstacles are in contact with the guide plate and chain;
Step 2: Release the chain brake by pulling the chain brake;
Step 3: Start the chainsaw;
Step 4: Push the chain kick brake handle toward the front of the saw. A properly
operating hand brake will immediately stop the chain movement. If the chain brake does
not work properly, do not use the chain saw until it has been repaired by a qualified
maintenance technician.

Make sure the chain brake works properly before each use.

If the chain brake is blocked by wood chips, the function of the chain
brake may degrade. Please keep the equipment clean at all times.
