Hold the new flash tube with both 
hands near the electrodes and slide 
it carefully onto the ceramic socket 
up to the stop.  
Then pull the flash tube 
approximately 0.5mm back out so 
that it does not rest too strongly on 
the ceramic part.  The glass tube of 
the flash tube needs a bit of play to 
be able to expand during the 
flashing. 
 
 

 

Ignition wire 
 
It is absolutely necessary to make 
sure that the ignition wire around 
the flash tube has the greatest 
possible distance to the perforated 
sheet.  Otherwise, there is a 
possibility that the ignition spark 
arches over to the perforated sheet. 
In this case, the flash tube does not 
flash. 
 
 3 Hex-nuts 
 
Perforated sheet for flash tube 
protection 
 
Use a 6mm open-end wrench to 
attach the perforated sheet with the
