Activation / deactivation:
The frequent activation / deactivation of EC fans can take place via the
0-10 V control input or via the release input depending on the type. This
is gentle on the electronics and ensures a long service life. Control via
the mains power supply (on/off) is not recommended. In general, a time
interval of at least 120 seconds must be observed for switching the mains
power supply on/off.
3.3 DIP switch settings
There are (DIP) switches on the control board, with which some additional set-
tings can be entered.
The speed can be set with DIP switches 1-5.
DIP switch 6 determines whether the motor is switched off at < 1 V (for a 0-10
V control).
3.4 Commissioning
The following checks must be carried out:
– Check for operation according to the intended purpose of the fan
– Compare power supply voltage with rating plate
– Check fan for solid fastening
– Check all parts, especially screws, nuts, clamps for tight fit
– Compare power consumption with rating plate data
– Check sealing of connection cable and tight clamping of cables
3.5 Assembly/disassembly
1. Cover
The type plate and motor control unit can be found under the cover.
- Disassembly:
Turn the fan cover so that the recess in the cover is at the press
opening. Then loosen the click connection in the middle using a screwdriver and
remove the cover (see Fig. 1).
- Assembly:
Ensure that the parts below the cover are properly assembled and
do not protrude over the edge. Hold the cover so that the recess in the cover
lies opposite to the cables. Now press the cover on the click connection. Check
that the cover is securely attached.
