2.1 Speed setting
The speed setting range can be internally limited via the potentiometer P3 and P4.
P3 = minimum speed, delivery in complete left position = 20 %
P4 = maximum speed, delivery in complete right position = 100 %
Thus, the entire control range is available in the delivered status.
If potentiometer P4 is set lower than potentiometer P3, the fan will run constantly at the value set on potentiometer P3.
2.2. Scaling
The scaling can be set via potentiometers P1 and P2, i.e. the assignment of the setpoint input (0-10 V=) is set for speed
regulation (20-100 %)
Effect:
With a setpoint of 1V, the controller starts to work at 20 % of the speed, with a setpoint of 10 V, the controller has rea
ched the maximum value of 100 %. The entire control range is available in the delivered status for both setpoint input
and speed control. Thus, 0 V - 10 V setpoint input corresponds to a motor control of 20 % - 100 %.
With regard to a standard controller with an external potentiometer, there must be no change in principle. A change
makes sense, for example, when connecting a sensor if a smaller control range is to be used.
.
Example:
A temperature sensor has a measurement range of 0-40 °C and delivers 0-10 V. The fan should be controlled in a
range of 20 °C to 34 °C (fig.16). Accordingly, there is a control range of 5 to 8 V. Potentiometer 1 is set to 5 V and
Potentiometer 2 is set to 8 V. Figure 17 shows the consequent fan control.
If a scaling value of potentiometer 1 exceeds the value of Potentiometer 2, the fan will run at the minimum speed.
