Passive house compact units KWL EC 270/370 W R/L
Installation and Operating Instructions
4.0 Service and maintenance
The unit must be fully isolated from the power supply before all maintenance and installation work or befo-
re opening the terminal compartment! Risk of electric shock, moving parts (fans) and hot surfaces.
4.1 Cross counter flow heat exchanger
Open and remove both upper snap-in hooks on the front cover. Remove the heat exchanger from the unit using the
removal tool (Fig.20). For cleaning, vacuum the fans with a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use water or aggressive cleaning products!
When installing, insert the heat exchanger into the guide rails and slide in up to the stop (Fig.21).
The removal tool must not cover the sealing element!
(Fig.20, Pos.1)
4.2 Filter change
In order to change the filters, open and remove both upper snap-in hooks on front cover. The inspection opening on the
front of the compact unit enables easy filter replacement of the outside air, extracted air and bypass filter (Fig. 20). F7
filters are optional on the supply air and bypass-side (Fig.22).
When using F7 filters, pay attention on air flow direction arrows on the filter labels! The air flow direction is sho-
wn on the unit label (Fig.23).
