4 .4 Spare parts
Defective fans are to be completely exchanged . Own repair attempts are strictly prohibited!
A defective smoke extraction fan must be returned to the Helios Ventilatoren factory!
Optimal operational safety of the fans is only guaranteed with Helios spare parts and repair by the manufacturer.
4 .5 Standstill and disposal

Risk of personal injury!
When dismantling, limbs/fingers can be crushed, drawn in, trapped or severed due to the unintended activation of the
fan.
When dismantling, limbs can be injured between components.
− The unit must be isolated from the power supply before dismantling.
− Protective footwear and gloves must be worn.
− When dismantling a B VD and the accessories mounted on the discharge side (B DEF and B HSDV) for transpor-
tation, do not hook-on at the attachment point of the accessories.
− It can fall when lifting the load due to incorrect hooking-on.

Danger to life due to electric shock!
When dismantling, live parts can be exposed, which can result in electric shock if touched. Before dismantling,
isolate the unit from the mains power supply and protect against being switching on again!
The generally applicable safety at work and accident prevention regulations must be observed!
Electrical work must only be carried out by an authorised electrician.
− Fully isolate electrical connection from mains power supply
– Use appropriate lifting equipment and fastening devices to dismantle the fan
– Observe the instructions in the electric motor maintenance manual for decommissioning the motor
− Dispose of the fan components according to the valid rules and laws
