Operating mode of the motion sensor
A sensor registers the heat emission of human beings within its range. If a person enters a room, a switching
signal originates in the sensor, which induces the control to put the fan into operation. If no more movement
is registered within the range, the run on time of approx. 6 min. is started. This run on time is restarted every
time if the sensor can register a movement during the expiration of the run on time.
- Maximum monitoring range
5 m, horizontal 100°, vertical 82° (Standard installation position, cable entry down right).
The temperature difference between object and background must be at least 4 °C..
Lowest object speed is 0.5 to 1.5 m/s. The range depends on temperature difference, movement and speed!
Note
The sensor cannot detect a movement, if it is covered by something, e.g. shower curtain or the like.
The best detection is reached if the predominant direction of motion takes place in the room crossways to the
sensor. Directly in front of the sensor (0°), there is an area in which no detection can take place.
Test mode
When there is no voltage present (power failure, fuse, etc.), the fan is in the test mode for 1 minute.
In the first 9 sec. the sensor is disabled and the fan is switched on.
After 9 sec. the fan stops, the sensor is ready for use. For the remaining 51 sec. the fan starts with every
movement in the monitoring area, however, runs on only 5 sec.
After 60 sec. the test mode is finished. With a detected movement the fan runs on for 6 min.
