Interfaces
Warning:
Risk of electric shock!
If the voltages received by the interface inputs and outputs are too
high and not sufficiently insulated, metal components such as e.g. the
housing could become live in the event of a fault.
Safely isolate small voltage inputs and outputs above 25 V AC or 60 V
DC according to DIN EN 61140 and use double or reinforced insulation
according to DIN EN 60730-1 or DIN 60950-1.
Exclusively use shielded connecting cables. Connect the shielding to the
connector housing.
Caution:
Possible damage to the device
If the connections on the device are not covered, liquids could reach
the live components. Liquids penetrating into the device could result in
faults at the interfaces and cause a short circuit.
The interface connections on the rear of the device must always be
kept covered.
The display can be used to set which signal is issued via the interface
in each particular fault situation.
RS 232 interface
The Heidolph rotary evaporators Hei-VAP Expert and Hei-VAP Ultimate can communicate
with the chiller and control the cooling process via the RS 232 interface (see operating
manual for the rotary evaporator).
The RS 232 interface and the alarm output
are located on the left rear of the device
above the power connection.
