Filling for the first time
Depending on the version of the device, the reservoir for the thermal fluid can hold
between 2-14 litres (see chapter “Attachments, Technical data”). The reservoir on the
device is filled with thermal fluid from above.
Filling of the device is supported by a software program. If the fill level is too low:
▪
the pump and cooling unit will not start
▪
FILL will appear on the display and the fill level indicator will light up after the device
is switched on.
➜
Connect up your external consumer
(see chapter “Assembly, Peripheral
connections”).
➜
Close the drain screw by turning it to
the right as far as it will go.

➜
Attach a suitable hose with an inner
diameter of
Ø 8 mm to the overflow pipe on the
device.
➜
Place the hose into a suitable container
to capture any overflowing thermal
fluid.
Overflow pipe
If air penetrates into the temperature control circuit while filling the
device – e.g. due to an open or damaged bleed valve – the reservoir
and also the connected consumer could empty.
Ensure that you use a sufficiently large container for the overflow pipe.
➜
Switch the device ON.
✓
A signal tone sounds.
✓
The software version will be shown on
the display, followed by “FILL”.
➜
Carefully remove the cover for the
filling pipe by pulling it upwards (no
screw connection).
➜
Carefully fill the reservoir with thermal
fluid via the filling pipe with the aid of
a funnel.
