L. START-UP ISSUES
5. Standing Pilot Operation
Hearth & Home Technologies recommends you leave
the pilot on year round.
Lighting the Fireplace During Regular Use:
Turn the wall
switch to ON.
Shutdown During Regular Use:
Turn the wall switch to
OFF.
If you decide to shut down the appliance for a long
period of time:
a.
Turn all wall switches to OFF.
b.
Turn pilot knob on valve to OFF.
c.
Turn the manual shutoff valve to CLOSED.
d.
To relight the standing pilot and appliance, see
page 25.
WARNING!
Do not use this appliance if any part has been under
water. Immediately call a qualified service technician
to inspect the appliance and to replace any part of the
control system and any gas control which has been
under water.
6. Fuel
Do not burn wood or other material in this fireplace with
the gas logs installed. The ODYCKW Conversion Kit is
available to convert this fireplace to burn solid fuel (wood).
WARNING!
Never use gasoline, gasoline-type lantern fuel, kerosene, charcoal lighter fluid or similar liquids in
this appliance. Keep any flammable liquids a safe distance from the appliance.
