4. Cleaning the Glass
See Figure 60. Never operate this appliance without the glass properly secured in place or if the glass is broken.
In the event of glass breakage, carefully remove the glass frame. This will allow the removal of all glass fragments and
sheet metal edge protection strips. Vacuum all remaining glass pieces with a shop vac.
DO NOT VACUUM IF THE
PIECES ARE HOT!
Replace glass with only a Heatilator Glass Panel Assembly ordered through your local distributor. Never use substitute
material.

Do not hit or strike glass. Do not operate this appliance if the glass is broken or cracked.

Handle glass with care to avoid striking, scratching or slamming shut.

Pull top of glass
away from
appliance.

Set glass on non-
abrasive surface.
Clean using a non-
abrasive, mild
cleaning solution
(i.e. Brasso).

Reattach the five
Quick Access
Latches

To replace, place glass
on
bottom retainers.

Place screen into top screen retainers,
lift and rotate towards the appliance.
Place on bottom retainers.

Close control access
panel.

Open control access
panel, locate handle and
two Quick Access
Latches.

Pull out to remove hood and
expose three Quick Access
Latches.

Replace hood.

Pull and release the five
Quick Access Latches.

Rotate bottom of screen away
from appliance and lower out
of top retainers. Set screen
aside.
