CARE AND MAINTENANCE
1. Disconnect the cuff tubing from the monitor and remove batteries prior to storing.
2. Only use a soft, dry cloth to clean your blood pressure monitor.
3. Avoid using any types of liquids on the monitor or cuff.
4. Do not store the unit where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, dust or humidity. Avoid
extreme temperatures.
5. Never disassemble the monitor or cuff.
6. Dropping or subjecting your blood pressure monitor to strong shocks should be avoided.
7. Remove batteries prior to storing.
8. It is recommended to disinfect the cuff twice a week if needed (for example, in hospital or in
clinic). Wipe the inner side (the side that contacts skin) of the cuff with a soft cloth squeezed
after moistened with Ethyl alcohol (75-90%), then dry the cuff by airing.
9. No component of the monitor should be serviced by the user. The circuit diagrams,
component part lists, descriptions, calibration instructions, or other information will assist the
user’s appropriately qualified technical personnel in repair. Those parts of equipment that
are designated repairable can be supplied.
10. It is recommended for the performance to be checked every 2 years.
11. Please keep the cuff clean. If the cuff becomes dirty, remove it from the monitor and
clean it by hand in a mild detergent, then rinse it thoroughly in cold water. Never dry
the cuff in clothes dryer or iron it. Cleaning the cuff after the usage of every 200 times is
recommended.
12. The monitor can maintain the safety and performance characteristics for a minimum of
10,000 measurements or 5 years.
13. The cuff’s integrity is maintained after 1,000 open–close cycles of the closure.
