The U 2B series of force transducers is suitable for measuring tensile forces
and pressures. The y measure static and d y namic forces w ith great accurac y
and therefore require careful handling. Transport and installation of the de v i
ces require special attention for the same reason. Transducers can be
permanentl
y damaged if knocked or dropped.
These force transducers are manufactured from stainless steel and are suita
ble for use under harsh en
v ironmental conditions and se v ere operating
constraints. The y are maintenance free and can e v en be installed in places
that are hard to reach. Their measuring signals can be transmitted to remote
measuring equipment.
The perfect seal that protects the sensiti v e strain gauge applications has to be
maintained b y the housing in all conditions. The base of the housing must the
refore be treated w ith special care, since it is v er y thin.

planning for measurement arrangements and w hen installing or operating the
equipment.
