The U 2B force transducer is to be used e x clusi v el y for force measurement
tasks and directl y related control tasks. U se for an y additional purpose shall
be deemed to be no t in accordance w ith the regulations.
In the interests of safet y , the transducer should onl y be operated as described
in the Mounting Instructions. It is also essential to obser v e the appropriate
legal and safet y regulations for the application concerned during use. The
same applies to the use of accessories.
The transducer is not a safet y element w ithin the meaning of its use as
intended. Proper and safe operation of this transducer requires proper
transportation, correct storage, assembl
y and mounting and careful operation
and maintenance.

The U 2B force transducer corresponds to the state of the art and is failsafe.
The transducers can gi v e rise to remaining dangers if the y are inappropriatel y
installed and operated b y untrained personnel.
E v er y one in v ol v ed w ith the installation, commissioning, maintenance or repair
of a force transducer must ha v e read and understood the Mounting
Instructions and in particular the technical safet y instructions.

The scope of suppl y and performance of the transducer co v ers onl y a small
area of force measurement technique. In addition, equipment planners,
installers and operators should plan, implement and respond to the safet
y
engineering considerations of force measurement technique in such a w a y as
to minimise remaining dangers. Pre v ailing regulations must be complied w ith
at all times. There must be reference to the remaining dangers connected w ith
force measurement technique.
