Locking the Crankshaft

Crankshaft Location Pins 3488-10, 3488-11
BELT DRIVE:
• For 1.25l, 1.4l, 1.6l Fiesta, Courier,
Fusion, Puma, Focus use Crankshaft
Location Pin 3488-10
• For 1.6l Mondeo and 1.8l and 2.0l Focus,
Mondeo, Cougar, Connect use Crankshaft
Location Pin 3488-11
CHAIN DRIVE:
• 1.8l and 2.0l engines
require Location Pin 3488-10
• The blanking plug in the engine block is
removed to allow the Pin 3488-10 to be
screwed in until limit stop is reached.
Then
carefully turn crankshaft until the
crank web rests against the Location Pin
3488-10.
