1. Starting the engine
a. Set the switch to position I.
b. Pull the choke lever. It will close and the throttle will be
moved to the starting position.
Hold the chainsaw firmly against the ground. Put the
chainsaw:

Either on the left side of your body holding the handle firmly
with your left hand. Use your right hand to pull the starter
rope
∫
Either on the right side of your body holding the handle
firmly with your right hand.
Use your left hand to pull on the starter rope.
In both cases, the saw must remain away from the operator's
body.
2. Stopping the engine
Allow the chainsaw to run for a few minutes. Then turn the
switch to the OFF position.
