4-2 Firmware Upgrade
If there is new firmware available for your wireless range extender, you
can upload the firmware to the range extender to change the firmware to
the updated version to get extra functions or fix problems.
To perform firmware upgrade, click ‘Upgrade’ tab on the top-right of web
management interface, and the following message will be displayed:
Click ‘Browse’ button first. You will be prompted to provide the
filename of firmware upgrade file. Download the latest firmware file
from our website (
http://www.hawkingtech.com/
) and save it to a location
on your computer. Then browse to it and use it to upgrade your range
extender.
After a firmware upgrade file is selected, click ‘Apply’ button, and the
range extender will start firmware upgrade procedure automatically. The
procedure may take several minutes.
NOTE: Never interrupt the upgrade procedure by closing the web
browser or physically disconnecting your computer from the
range extender. If the firmware you uploaded is corrupt, the
firmware upgrade will fail, and you may have to return this range
extender. (Warranty is void if you interrupt the upgrade
procedure).
