OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

USING THE TRIMMER
WARNING!
Before using the trimmer, inspect
the area to be trimmed. Ensure that
there are no obstacles or foreign
objects, in the work area. Keep all
personnel, particularly
children and domestic animals, at a
safe distance.
CONVENTIONAL TRIMMING MODE
1 To use the trimmer in the conventional
trimming mode, first carefully remove the
cutting line blade protector.
2 Grip the trimmer with two hands.
3 Tilt the head of the trimmer to an angle of
approximately 30. Refer to Fig. 9.
4 Operate the On/Off switch and, using a
sweeping motion, proceed through the area to
be trimmed. Refer to figure 9.
WARNING!
Do not use the trimmer without the
line guard. Never use the trimmer in
the rain, or in wet conditions.
USING THE LINE TRIMMER
EDGING MODE
1 To use the trimmer in the edging mode first
pull the decoration cap off the tool. Refer to
Fig. 10
2 Insert the edging wheel set into the slot on
front of the motor housing. Refer to Fig. 11.
Then carefully remove the cutting line blade
protector.
3 Place the cutting head over the edge to be
trimmed and hold the trimmer so that it is just
off the ground. Refer to figure 12.
4 Operate the On/Off switch and walk slowly
along the edge guiding the trimmer so that it
cuts the overhanging grass.
WARNING!
Take extra care when using the line
trimmer in this mode. Keep away
from the line of rotation to avoid any
flying particles that may result from
trimming.
NOTE:
This trimmer is designed to maintain existing
edges. It should not be used to create edges.
Edges can be created using an edging
spade.
USING THE LINE TRIMMER
LAWN MOWER MODE
1 To use the trimmer in lawn mower mode,
first carefully remove the cutting line blade
protector.
2 Connect the frond mower guard on to the
rear guard. Refer to Fig. 13, 14
3 To attach the grass collection bag, open the
cover; insert the edge (on both side of the bag
frame) into the slot on the guard, as shown in
Fig 15.
4 To adjust the cutting height, release each
wheel arm by pulling against the spring
tension and relocate the wheel arm into a
appropriate position. The base height is 1 inch.
The top height is 2 3/4 inch. The four wheels
should be adjusted to the same height at same
time. Refer to Fig. 16
MAKE THIS ADJUSTMENT ONLY WHEN THE
ELECTRIC CORD IS DISCONNECTED
Operate the On/Off switch and walk slowly
behind like a lawn mower.
