FITTING THE TRIMMER SAFETY GUARD
WARNING!
The guard is fitted with a sharp
blade which is covered by a blade
protector. Make sure that the blade
protector is in place before fitting
the cutting line guard.
To fit the line guard, proceed as follows;
1 Push the guard down on to the motor
housing.
2 Make sure that the cutting line is not trapped
under the line guard.
3 Make sure that the guard is clicked on the
motor housing.
4 Secure the line guard using two screws and
washers provided. Refer to Figure 1 & 2.
ADJUSTING THE SECONDARY HANDLE
WARNING!
Before adjusting the secondary
handle make sure that the trimmer is
disconnected from the power source.
The height and the angle of the secondary
handle can be adjusted to suit the user. Refer to
Figure 3 below.
1 Loosen the secondary handle securing wheel.
2 Select the most comfortable angle for the
secondary handle.
3 Retighten the securing wheel.
USING THE CORD RESTRAINT
Before connecting the mains cable to the
power source, make sure that the cord is
located through the cable restraint.
This will prevent undue pressure being put
on the cord connections and is an important
safety device. Refer to Figure 4

SELECTING THE CUTTING MODE
WARNING!
Before changing the cutting mode
make sure that the trimmer is
disconnected from the power source.
1 Press and hold the handle rotary button.
Rotate the handle through 180° . Refer to Fig. 5.
2 If the trimmer is to be used for conventional
trimming and lawn mower, the main handle
should be turned as shown in
Fig. 6.
3 If the trimmer is to be used for edge
trimming, the main handle should be turned as
shown in Fig. 7.
WARNING!
Remove the blade protector from
the guard prior to use.
OPERATING THE ON/OFF SWITCH
TO switch on
1 Press and hold the lock off button. Refer to
Fig.8.
2 Squeeze the On/Off switch. Refer to fig. 8. The
spool will rotate.
3 Release the lock off button.
To switch off
Release the On/Off switch.
WARNING!
The cutting line will continue to rotate
for a few seconds after the trimmer has
been switched off.
