4.8. Initial Scan for Channels
The Initialisation screen will then change to the DEC 1000-t Channel Scan window
and will automatically go into auto-channel search mode to tune your digital terrestrial
channels.
When the receiver is tuning for channels it will display the above screen where
information of the Network Name(s), List of services, number of services found so far
and search progress will be displayed.
Signal strength and data quality bars with percentages are also provided to inform
you if the signal quality is adequate in your area. If there are any potential signal
problems, which can affect the quality of reception and number of channels found
you will not see the green bars appear on the progress bars. Please refer to
Troubleshooting – Section 9 page 39.
If you are receiving good signal levels you will see the Services/Channels found
being listed.
Once tuning has been completed the receiver will automatically display the first
channel in your TV Channel list, along with the Mini Channel list. The Mini List will
disappear after a few seconds, or you can press the [Select/OK] button to exit the
Mini List.
