Things to Do First
•
Verify that the rack and all interfacing equipment grounding meets site
specifications. (Office and earth ground.)
•
Verify that all SMA connectors are properly in place and secured with
the proper torque (8 to 9 inch-pounds).
•
Verify that all other connectors are properly seated and secured.
•
Check for proper configuration and connection of DS1/DS3 interface
(enable/disable, line build-out and line coding).
•
Verify module options with the Sales Order Specific Information. This
is important if performing radio capacity changes.
Verify that the test equipment is in calibration.
•
With a test equipment, verify that the power output at the monitor port
is correct in accordance with the Sales Order documents.
•
Verify that the 100 MHz oscillator is within tolerance ± 300 Hz at the
REF MON port.
Do not turn up transmit power to accommodate
the far-end received signal level.
Overdriving the Power Amplifier will cause high
CBER and UBER at the far-end Receivers.
