When selecting a location for the appliance it is important to
consider the required clearances to walls (see Figure 3.2).
WARNING! Risk of Fire or Burns!
Provide adequate
clearance around air openings and for service access. Due
to high temperatures, the appliance should be located out of
traffic and away from furniture and draperies.

* Floor protection must be used from hearth opening to 6" (152mm) in front of door glass and 6" (152mm) to each
side of the stove body OR 8” (203mm) to sides and 18” (457mm) in front (CANADA) to protect combustibles
from hot ashes. A minimum size will be 16.5" deep by 30" wide and be made of a non-combustible material
or meet UL approval.
