Manual Operation of Brake System
The dual line air brake system can be manually operated with the black
and red push/pull buttons on the trailer release valve, placed at the front
right side of the platform.
A decal is placed between the buttons to indicate their function.
Operating the Sprayer - Connected
When connected correctly to a tractor, the black button (A) is forced to
its traveling position (out) and can not be pushed in. The red button (B)
can be in both positions.
Black button (A) - Release valve:
•
Forced out: Traveling position - Air supply from the tractor is routed
to the sprayers brake system.
Red button (B) - Parking brake:
•
Pulled out: Parking position - The parking brake is engaged.
•
Pushed in: Traveling position - The parking brake is disengaged.
Shunting the Sprayer - Disconnected
It is possible to move the sprayer, when it is not connected to a tractor, by pushing the release valve (A) in, using the air from
the sprayers air tanks, to release the brakes.
Black button (A) - Release valve:
•
Pulled out: Traveling position - No air supply to the brake system, it is not possible to disengage the brakes.
•
Pushed in: Release position. The air from the sprayers air tanks are routed to the brake system, the brakes can be
disengaged.
When parking the sprayer after it has been moved, without being connected to a tractor, the parking brake valve (B) must
be pulled out to engage the parking brake.
Red button (B) - Parking brake:
•
Pulled out: Parking position - The parking brake is engaged.
•
Pushed in: Traveling position - Using the air from the sprayers air tanks to disengage the parking brake.
μ
ATTENTION! When shunting the sprayer, both buttons (A and B) must be pushed in.
μ
ATTENTION! When parking the sprayer, always engage the parking brake button (B). When the sprayer has been
disconnected from the tractor the air brakes can only be disengaged as long as there is air in the sprayers air tanks.
μ
ATTENTION! Cover the hose couplings with the dust covers and place them on the hose package support bracket
when disconnected.
