Specific Safety Precautions
1. The backing pad will continue to turn for a few seconds after the tool is turned off. Do not set the tool
down until the pad has stopped turning.
2. Do not start the tool with the sanding disc in contact with any surface. Start it first, then apply the sanding
disc to the work surface.
3. When the tool is in use, keep hands away from the sanding area.
4. Only use sanding discs which are rated for 10,000 RPM or greater.
5. Only use sanding discs designed for hook and loop sanding pads.
6. Keep the air pressure hose well away from the work area. Always position the pressure hose so it will
not be caught in the work piece, or damaged by the sanding disc.
7. Inspect the tool and the sanding disc for safety before attaching the air pressure hose to the tool.
Assembly
1. Install a Male Quick Connect Coupler (not included) to the Air Inlet (38). First wrap the threaded portion
of the coupler with pipe thread seal tape before threading it into the Air Inlet. Tighten securely.
2. Attach a standard quick connector (not included) to your air pressure source hose. Then attach the air
hose to the quick connect coupler.
3. Set the air pressure regulator at 90 PSI.
WARNING: NEVER exceed the recommended pressure of 90 PSI. Damage to
your tool, and SEVERE PERSONAL INjURY may result.
4. Check the air line and its connections for air leaks. Make note of these, and repair them before using
this tool.
5. Install an appropriate sanding disc following instructions on next page.
NOTE:
Turn off your air compressor and disconnect the air pressure hose before changing sanding
discs or making any adjustments to this tool. Severe injury or property damage may otherwise result.
USE ONLY 6” SANDING DISCS DESIGNED FOR HOOK AND LOOP TYPE PADS.
WARNING! All sanding discs for this tool must be rated for at least 10,000 RPM.
Sanding discs running over their rated speed can fly apart and cause injury.
WARNING! Never install a grinding wheel or steel circular saw blade for use in
this tool. Never install a wood carving blade, carving disc with chain saw cutters,
or a cutting carving disc on this tool.
Unpacking
Your product includes the Composite Air Sander and Pad Wrenches.
When unpacking, check to make sure that the product is intact and undamaged.
