Processing Vegetables
1.
Assemble the Grater / Slicer Assembly as illustrated below.
Select one of the Grating Cylinders:
A = Grate potatoes; apple sauce (peel apples first).
B = Shred carrots, beets, cheese, nuts, chocolate.
C = Slice Cabbage, cucumbers, potatoes, carrots.
2.
Place the selected grating cylinder into the housing so that it locks firmly into place.
WARNING: Never use fingers to push food into the housing assembly. Always use the
Pusher.
3.
When assembling, align the lugs on the Ring’s interior surface with the corresponding
grooves on the accessory housing, then rotate the Ring counterclockwise until it stops
(about 1/4 turn). Always use the Tray.
4.
Cut the food items to a size that will freely fit through the Accessory Housing.
5.
Turn the machine on to speed I or II, and begin feeding in the food items in small
amounts using the Pusher.
The Spiral will move the grated food items out through the Ring, so have a dish
underneath to collect the food.
6.
When finished, turn the machine off and unplug the line cord from the electrical outlet.
7.
To disassemble the grater, remove the Ring and Housing Assembly, and lightly tap on
the protruding Axle.
