Safety test:
Press safety lever, safety latch should raise to clear safety ratchet bar. When released latch
should rest on bar.
Raise lift (green button), check that safety catch is clicking into ratchet on raising. Lower lift
(red knob) lift should lower and engage safety latch.
Raise lift – press safety release lever. Lower lift. The latch should now clear the safety
ratchet bar. If lever is released the latch will engage.
If the latch is not engaging correctly adjust the cable tension at either end of cable to
achieve consistent operation.
Car lift test
Position car on hoist performing all operating checks.
Lift and lower vehicle slowly checking operation of pads and safety mechanism and vehicle stability.
Note: Perform car checks on lowest settings, In the unlikely event of issues are detected that
prevent vehicle from lowering and vehicle must be removed manually. It is easier to resolve issues
with the vehicle close to the ground as vehicle can be removed with normal jacks.
