Cooking zones and sensors
The maximum operating time is set in accord-
ance with the most recently selected heat set-
ting.

Booster function
When the booster function is active, the cook-
ing zone heats up at maximum power for 5
minutes. After this time, the cooking zone re-
turns to the original heat setting. If the original
heat setting was ‘

’, the cooking zone heats
up to heat setting ‘

’.
The booster function is advisable, for exam-
ple, for rapid searing or boiling water. It is also
suitable for fast boiling and continued cooking
at a reduced temperature. First select a me-
dium heat setting (e.g. ‘
5
’) and then activate
the boost function.
The boost function is available for all cooking
zones.
1. Touch the sensor of the cooking zone for
which you would like to activate the boost
function.
The heat setting display for the cooking
zone will flash.

2. Touch the boost sensor (11).

’ now appears in the heat setting display.
A few seconds after you remove your fin-
ger, ‘

’ starts flashing and the boost pro-
cess begins.
3. In order to deactivate the booster function
early, touch the sensor for the cooking
zone for which you wish to deactivate the
booster function.
4. Touch the boost sensor.

’ will go out in the heat setting display
next to the selected cooking zone and the
original heat setting will once more be dis-
played.
Keep warm function
You can gently keep cooked meals warm with
the heat-retaining function.
1. Select the cooking zone on which you
would like to activate the heat-retaining
function.
The heat setting display flashes.

3. Touch the corresponding slider sensor
to switch off the warm-keeping function
again.
Pause function
You can use the pause function to interrupt
the cooking process without switching off a
cooking zone.
