Connect the appliance only to a
properly installed and earthed elec-
tric socket. Do not connect to a mul-
ti-socket extension cable or a mul-
ti-socket plug.

Do not operate the appliance with an
external timer or a separate remote
control system.

The tumble dryer/washing dryer is
not to be used if industrial chemicals
have been used for cleaning.
■
Clean the lint fi lter regularly.
■
Do not let lint accumulate around the
appliance.
■
Do not close off air vents in the appli-
ance housing.
■
Do not dry unwashed items in the
tumble dryer/washing dryer.
■
Items that have been soiled with
substances such as cooking oil, ace-
tone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spot
removers, turpentine, waxes and wax
removers should be washed in hot
water with an extra amount of deter-
gent before being dried in the tumble
dryer/washing dryer.
■
Never dry items in the drum dryer
which have been cleaned, washed,
soaked or sprayed with industrial
chemicals, cooking oil and other oils,
acetone, alcohol, petrol, petroleum,
kerosene, stain remover, turpentine,
wax, wax remover or fl ammable liq-
uids. Always wash laundry items that
contain these materials fi rst by hand
with a little washing detergent. At the
end of the washing cycle, run an ad-
ditional rinse cycle. Air dry laundry
items outdoors. Otherwise, the laun-
dry may ignite inside or outside the
appliance even after the drying cycle
has completed.

Items such as foam rubber (latex
foam), shower caps, waterproof tex-
tiles, rubber backed articles and
clothes or pillows fi tted with foam
rubber pads should not be dried in
the tumble dryer/washing dryer.
■
Fabric softeners or other similar prod-
ucts should be used as described in
their respective use instructions.
■
When selecting a washing/drying
cycle or solely a drying cycle, do not
place items including dosing balls or
similar in the drum.
■
All objects should be removed from
pockets (e.g. lighters and matches).
■
Never stop a tumble dryer/wash-
ing dryer before the end of the dry-
ing cycle unless all items are quickly
removed and spread out so that the
heat is dissipated.
■
Do not place the appliance on carpet-
ed fl ooring. Otherwise, it may not be
able to properly ventilate, which can
result in overheating and damage.
The ventilation openings must not be
obstructed by carpet fl ooring.
