2. Secure the other end on the water inlet
hose to the tap by hand. To do so, turn
the union nut (30) clockwise.
3. Open the valve completely and check
whether the connections on the appliance
and on the valve are sealed.
4. Then close the valve again.
Creating an electrical
connection
WARNING!

Touching live parts may result in severe

Do not put into operation if the
mains cord is faulty or the appliance
displays other visible damage.

Do not operate the appliance with an
external timer or a separate remote
control system.

Improper handling of the appliance
can lead to fi re and property damage.

Only connect the appliance to a
properly installed and earthed elec-
tric socket. Do not connect to a mul-
ti-socket extension cable or a mul-
ti-socket plug.
• Plug the mains plug into a properly in-
stalled and earthed electric socket that
has been sufficiently secured (see “Tech-
nical specifications” on page EN-46).
Carrying out a test run
Requirements
– Read chapter “Safety” from page EN-4 and
all the safety notices.
– Remove the transport safety devices and
prepare the appliance as described in chap-
ter “Set-up and connection” on page EN-34.
– Attach the water inlet hose and the water
outlet hose as described in section “Water
connection” from page EN-36.
Any residual water or water drops pres-
ent in the machine are merely a sign
that the appliance was tested for functionality
during production.
The appliance requires an initial wash cycle
without laundry, but with detergent. The aim
of this is to rinse out possible residues from
production.
1. Check whether the water inlet hose (12)
and water outlet hose (11) are securely
connected.
2. Open the valve completely.
3. Make sure that the drum is empty.
4. Push the appliance door tightly closed.
5. Dispense a maximum of 25 ml of compact
detergent into dispensing drawer II.
