Using and caring for the hob
If the temperature of the glass ceramic surface
falls below a certain value (approx. 65 °C), the
H
indicator will go out.
Automatic reduction in
performance
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the hob are constantly measured using
a sensor. If the heat increases too rapidly, the
heating level in the cooking zone where the
electronic elements are likely to overheat will
automatically reduce or the elements in the
adjacent cooking zone to the one where the
elements are overheating will be automatical-
ly switched off. In an extreme case, the hob
will be completely switched off automatically.
Once the electronic elements have once
again cooled sufficiently, the heating level will
once again be restored to the original setting.
Manual power restriction
The maximum power output of the hob can
be limited manually. The hob will then only
operate up to the maximum power setting.
1. Switch on the hob.
2. Press and hold the key lock sensor (8) and
the pause sensor (11) simultaneously.
“
P5
” will appear on the display. The default
power level preset is “
P5
”.
3. To change the power level, press the Plus
sensor (10) or the Minus sensor (9).
4. Confirm your entry by pressing and hold-
ing the key lock sensor and the pause
sensor simultaneously.
The new power level is now set and the
hob is switched off.

Operating time limit
For your safety, all of the cooking zones are
equipped with an operating time limiter. If
the heating level hasn’t been changed for a
longer period of time (see the following table),
the cooking zone switches off automatically
and the residual heat indicator is activated.
The maximum operating time is set in accord-
ance with the most recently selected heat set-
ting.

Two cooking zones in a verti-
cal position form a pair together.
If the total power is too high when the booster
function is activated, the heating level of the
other cooking zone in the pair is automatically
reduced.
