Set-up, connection and initial start-up
Choose a suitable location

The appliance is heavy and bulky. Im-
proper handling of the appliance may res-
ult in injury.

When transporting, use a transport
cart and call on the help of another
person.
n
Remove all obstacles on the transport
route and from the installation loca-
tion, e.g. open doors and clear away
objects lying on the floor.

For installation and assembly, get help
from another person.
n
Do not use the opened appliance door
as a step, seat, or support. Make sure
that children and pets do not stand or
sit on the open appliance door.
– Set up the unit only in a dry and frost-
proof room with a solid base.
– Position the appliance near a sink/wash
basin or floor drain for installation of the
connection pipes.

Failing to connect the appliance correctly
may cause malfunctions during operation.

Make sure that the waste water can
drain freely at any time. For this pur-
pose, the outlet hose must have a dia-
meter of at least 40 mm.
n
Ensure that there are no kinks or dam-
age to the outlet hose.
n
Make sure that the end of the hose is
not submerged in the pumped water.
n
Do not extend the outlet hose or re-
place with another drainage pipe.

You can connect the outlet of the outlet
hose (15) in two different ways:
– Connection to a floor drain.
– Direct connection to the odour seal (si-
phon) of your washing/dishwashing
basin. Technical measures are required
for this. Therefore, only sanitary person-
nel or staff of our service are allowed to
connect the outlet hose (19) (see
chapter "Service"). The outlet hose must
be a maximum of 1000 mm above the
floor.
Make sure that the appliance is
connected to a water supply with a
safety device that prevents drinking
water from being contaminated by
backflow (according to DIN EN
1717). Connection valves intended
for this purpose must be installed in
a suitable place in a correctly in-
stalled drinking water system in the
house. If you are unsure, consult a
qualified professional.
