es such as microwaves, toasters etc.
on the appliance and do not operate
any electrical appliances inside the
appliance.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if exposed to low ambient tempera-
tures for extended periods of time. This
can then lead to an increase in temper-
ature inside the appliance.

Observe the specifi ed ambient tem-
perature (see "Intended use" on
page EN-4).
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage.
■
If possible, do not tip the appliance
horizontally, but transport it at a
maximum inclined angle of 45°.
■
Do not use sharp objects to unpack
the appliance.
Moving and unpacking
1. Tape the castors under the chest freezer
with adhesive tape to ensure stability dur-
ing transport.
2. Transport the chest freezer using a trolley
or with the help of a second person.
3. Remove the adhesive strips from the cas-
tors. Lift the chest freezer slightly onto its
left side and push or pull it until it reaches
the desired position.
4. Unpack the chest freezer and carefully
remove all packaging, plastic moulding,
adhesive strips and foam padding from
the inside, outside and back of the chest
freezer.
Choosing a suitable location
Safety
For safety reasons, the room in which it is in-
stalled must have a minimum size of 10.25 m
3
.
Airflow
To ensure adequate air circulation,
– the chest freezer should not stand directly
against the wall. Leave at least 15 cm from
the wall, cabinets and other appliances.
– the ventilation grilles must remain clear
and must not be covered.
– the entire area above the chest freezer
must be unobstructed.
Cooling capacity
To achieve the highest possible cooling per-
formance with the least energy consumption,
choose a location that:
– is not too warm, is dry and well ventilated.
– is not in direct sunlight.
It is recommended not to place it next to an
oven, stove or radiator.
If underfloor heating is installed in the room
where the chest freezer is to be installed,
place an insulating plate of solid material un-
der the chest freezer.
