Safety
Risk of injury!
Knives and other pointed or sharp-
edged objects can cause injuries.
■
Knives and other sharp utensils must
be placed in the basket with the tip
pointing downwards or in a horizon-
tal position.
■
Load the appliance in such a way
that no objects which may cause in-
jury fall out of the dish racks when
the appliance is next opened and the
dish racks are removed.
The appliance is heavy and bulky.
Improper handling of the appliance
may lead to injuries.
■
Seek the help of another person during
transport, installation and assembly.
■
Remove all obstacles on the transport
route and from the installation loca-
tion, e.g. open doors and clear away
objects lying on the fl oor.
■
Do not use the open door as a step,
seat or for support. Make sure that
children and pets do not stand or sit
on the open door.
Risk of scalding!
The hot washing-up water will cause the
dishes and the interior of the appliance
to heat up and hot steam is emitted.
Touching them can therefore cause
scalding.
■
Only hold the door by the handle when
opening the door. Maintain a safe dis-
tance from the appliance in order to
avoid steam which may escape.
■
Do not touch the dishes, cutlery or the
inside of the appliance immediate-
ly after the dishwashing programme
has fi nished.
Fire hazard!
Insuffi cient ventilation can cause fi res.
■
If your appliance has ventilation
grids, never cover them.
■
Do not set up the appliance on car-
pets or rugs if it has ventilation grids
on the bottom section.
Tripping hazard!
An open dishwasher door can quickly
become a tripping hazard.
■
The door should not be left in the
open position since this can present a
tripping hazard.
■
Close the door after every use.
■
Only leave the door slightly open to
cool down.
NOTICE
Possible damage to property!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage to the appliance
itself.
■
Only use dishwasher salt which is suit-
able for dishwashers.
■
Only add dishwasher salt immediate-
ly before the next main dishwashing
cycle, as dishwasher salt which has
overfl owed can damage the seals
and fi lters of the appliance.
■
Immediately remove any spilt dish-
washer salt with a damp towel,
as otherwise the stainless steel sur-
face can be damaged.
■
Ensure that the dishwashing deter-
gent and rinse aid are suitable for the
appliance.
