The cooking process will start. The display
counts down the remaining cooking time in
one-second increments.
5 beeps will sound once the cooking time

Defrosting
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
The grill rack is not suitable for defrost
mode.

Use the grill rack exclusively in simple
grill mode or hot air mode.
The appliance has 2 defrost programs:

dEF1
: Defrosting by weight
–
dEF2
: Timed defrosting
Defrosting by weight
You can defrost food up to a weight of 2,000 g.
The defrosting time varies depending on how
much weight you would like to defrost. For
100 g, the defrosting time is approx. 3 min-
utes; for 2,000 g it is 50 minutes and 30 sec-
onds.
1. Weigh the food that you want to defrost.
2. Press the “Defrost by weight/time” but-
ton (11).

dEF1
” will appear on the display.
3. Turn the control dial (14) until the weight
of the food you would like to defrost ap-
pears on the display.
4. Press the “Start/+30sec./Confirm” but-
ton (13).
Defrosting starts.
The required defrosting time is counted
down in the display.
5 beeps will sound once the defrosting time
has elapsed.
Timed defrosting
1. Press the “Defrost by weight/time” but-
ton (11) twice.
“
dEF2
” will appear on the display.
2. Set the desired defrosting time using the
control dial (14).
The defrosting time must be a minimum of
5 seconds and a maximum of 95:00 min-
utes.
3. Press the “Start/+30sec./Confirm” but-
ton (13).
Defrosting starts.
The required defrosting time is counted
down in the display.
5 beeps will sound once the defrosting time
has elapsed.
You can extend the defrosting time
as described in section “Extending
the cooking time” on page EN-23.
