Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. For this reason, please check the tables to see if you can correct the
malfunction.

Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!

Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appliance yourself. You can
put your own and future users’ lives in danger. Only authorised specialists are al-
lowed to carry out this repair work.
Problem
Possible solutions/tips
Built-in oven not work-
ing, blank display.
The power supply has been interrupted. Check the socket and the
fuse for the stove/built-in oven at the fuse box. In case of doubt, con-
nect our Service Centre (see „Our Service Centre“ on page GB-28).
Built-in oven cannot be
switched on.
When the lock symbol (15) is shown on the display, the child safety
is activated and all functions are locked (see „Safety lock (child safety
lock)“ on page GB-15).
If the clock is not set, the built-in oven cannot be switched on (see
„Setting the clock“ on page GB-11).
Built-in oven cannot be
operated and the sym-
bol (20) or the symbol
(21) is shown on the
display.
The timer is active (see page GB-16). Thus all functions are locked. To
reset the timer, press the button (17) twice.
Oven light is defective.
Replace the defective bulb for the oven light (see „Replacing oven
light bulbs“ on page GB-23). Notice: Defective bulbs do not fall under
our warranty.
The external cooling fan
is not working; no air re-
leased from the air locks
and they are very hot.
The external cooling fan is defective.
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!

Open the built-in oven’s door, switch off the appliance
and do not use it. Inform our customer service team (see
„Our Service Centre“ on page GB-28).
External cooling fan
keeps running.
No defect. The external cooling will run for a while and then shut off
automatically.
