Safety lock (child safety lock)
If the safety lock is activated, the lock symbol
(15) lights up on the display. All buttons and
the rotary switch are non-operational.
The safety lock can also be activated
during operation.
Activating/deactivating the safety
lock
• To activate and deactivate the safety lock,
press and hold the buttons (16) and
(17) simultaneously for approx. 3 sec-
onds.
A beep will sound and the lock symbol
(15) appears on or disappears from the
display, respectively.
Oven lamp
Use the oven light solely for oven lamp;
it is not suitable for room lighting.
The oven lamp switches on automatically
when the built-in oven is in operation.
To switch on the oven lamp (e.g. for cleaning):
• Select the light symbol using the func-
tion switch (22).
• Press the button (16).
• To switch off the oven lamp, press the
button (17) twice.

is available on page GB-23.
Energy-saving mode
If the energy-saving mode is activated, the
built-in oven switches to standby after ap-
prox. 10 minutes of inactivity.
The display disappears, but the time setting
remains.
Activating energy-saving mode
• Hold the button (16) until you hear a
beep and the display goes out. The built-
in oven is now in standby mode and uses
less energy.
Switching to normal mode from standby
mode
• Touch the button (17) briefly. A beep
sounds and the time reappears on the
display. You can now use the built-in oven
normally again.
Deactivating energy-saving mode
• First briefly touch the button (17) to
switch the built-in oven to normal mode.
• Now hold the button (17) until you hear
a beep. The energy-saving mode is now
deactivated.
The ECO mode
For energy-efficient baking.
When ECO mode is activated, the heating
element is electronically controlled to make
better use of residual heat and therefore re-
duce energy consumption.
Using ECO mode will slightly extend the
cooking time.
ECO mode is especially suited for cooking
meat: cooking using this mode will result in
juicier meat.
