Cooking zones and sensors
Residual heat display
During cooking, the heat from the pot is trans-
ferred to the glass ceramic and the cooking
zone/area becomes hot. If you switch off the
cooking zone/area or the entire hob, the re-
sidual heat symbol “
H
” appears in the heat
setting display of a cooking zone/area that is
still hot.
If the temperature of the cooking zone/area
falls below a specific value, the residual heat
symbol “
H
” disappears.
Operating time limit
Each cooking zone/area is provided with an
operating time limit. If the heat setting is not
changed for a prolonged period of time, the
cooking zone/area is automatically switched
off and the residual heat indicator ‘
H
’ is acti-
vated.
The maximum operating time is set in accord-
ance with the most recently selected heat set-
ting.

Automatic reduction in
performance
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the hob is constantly monitored. If the
heat increases too much, the hob is automat-
ically switched off.
Safety locking mechanism
Your hob is equipped with a safety locking
mechanism, which guards against accidental
or unauthorised use of the hob.

The hob can also be switched off while
the safety locking mechanism is activat-
