Cooking zones/mixed zones and sensors
The appliance can also be switched off
while the safety locking mechanism is
activated. You must, however, deacti-
vate the safety locking mechanism before the
next use.
Deactivating the safety locking
mechanism
1. Ensure that the appliance is switched on.

Lo
” appears on the display of the timer
sensor (15).
2. Touch the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (12) for three seconds.
“
Lo
” is replaced with “– –”.
Now you can use all of the sensors on the
appliance again.
Automatic safety features
The appliance has a range of safety features
that warn of danger and protect the appliance
from damage.
Residual heat display
During cooking, the heat from the pot is trans-
ferred to the glass ceramic and the cooking
zone/mixed zone becomes hot. If you switch
off the cooking zone/mixed zone or the entire
induction hob, the residual heat indicator “
H
”
appears in the heat setting display of a cook-
ing zone/mixed zone that is still hot.
If the temperature of the cooking zone/mixed
zone falls below a specific value, the residual
heat indicator “
H
” will stop illuminating.
Automatic power reduction
The temperature of the electronic elements
inside the appliance is constantly monitored.
If the elements become too hot, the appliance
will automatically switch off.

• To switch the entire induction hob off,
touch the On/Off sensor (11).
An acoustic signal will sound. All light indi-
cators, except for the flashing residual heat
indicators “
H
”, will go out.
