Cooking zones/mixed zones and sensors
1. Touch the sensor of the cooking zone/
mixed zone for which you would like to
activate the boost function.
The heat setting display of the cooking
zone/mixed zone will flash.

2. Touch the boost sensor (13).
“

” now appears in the heat setting display.
The heat setting display will return to the
originally selected heat setting display after
approx. 5 minutes.
3. In order to deactivate the booster function
early, touch the sensor for the cooking
zone/mixed zone for which you wish to
deactivate the booster function.
4. Touch the boost sensor (13).
“
b
” will disappear from the heat setting
display next to the selected cooking zone/
mixed zone and the original heat setting
will once more be displayed.
Switching off individual
cooking zones/mixed zones
1. Touch the sensor of the cooking zone/
mixed zone that you would like to switch
off.
2. Touch the slider sensor (14) at the left
end or swipe your finger left over the slid-
er sensor until the heat setting display “
0
”
appears.
After a few seconds the heat setting dis-
play changes to “
H
” or “– –”.
CAUTION
Risk of burns!

Always switch off a cooking zone/
mixed zone using the sensors only;
never by removing the cookware from
the cooking zone/mixed zone. Other-
wise, the cooking zone/mixed zone
will be reactivated as soon as a pot or
other object made of ferromagnetic
metal is placed on top.
■
Do not place objects on
cooking zones/mixed zones that are
not switched off. There is a risk that
the cooking zone/mixed zone could
be activated and the object heated.
Safety locking mechanism
Your appliance is equipped with a safety lock-
ing mechanism which protects the appliance
from inadvertent or unauthorised use.
Activating the safety lock
1. Switch on the appliance using the On/Off
sensor (11).
2. Set the cooking zones/areas and, if appli-
cable, the timer as desired.
3. Touch the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (12).

’ will appear. All sensors are now deac-
tivated except the On/Off sensor (11).
