The hob
What you need to do:
1. Set the relevant cooking zone’s tempera-
ture controller to the ‘A’ symbol.
2. Turn the temperature controller to the de-
sired heating level (1–8, e.g. 5).
The display alternates between showing
the A symbol and the selected heating
level e.g. 5.
The display will show the preselected
heating level only after reaching the max-
imum heat.
If you have set the relevant cooking
zone’s temperature controller to ‘0’,
the function and cooking zone will switch off
after 3 seconds.
Booster function
P
The booster function increases the respec-
tive cooking zone’s heating power.
Cooking zone with a diameter of:
21 cm: Increase from 2000 W to 3000 W
for up to 10 minutes maximum, then
automatically switch-off of the func-
tion.
16 cm: Increase from 1200 W to 1400 W un-
til manually switch-off of the function.
To switch
– on the function, set the relevant cook-
ing zone’s temperature controller to
the ‘P’ symbol for 3 seconds.
The
P
symbol will be shown on the display.
– off the function, set the relevant cooking
zone’s temperature controller to another
heating level (1–9).
CAUTION!
Risk of burns!
Removing the pot/pan from the cook-
ing zone will not switch off the function.

Select another heating level to switch
off the function.
Power indicator light
(10)
The yellow power indicator light (10) lights up
as soon as one cooking zone or the oven is
switched on. It will switch off again when
all
of
the cooking zones
and
the oven are switched
off.
Operating time limit
For your safety, the hob is equipped with an
operating time limiter. If the heating power lev-
el is not changed for an extended time (see
table), the corresponding induction cooking
zone will automatically switch off and the re-
sidual heat indicator
H
will turn on.
The maximum time required for this depends
on the last heating power level selected.

The individual induction cooking zones may
be switched on and used at any time in ac-
cordance with the user manual.
A pair is made up of two cooking
zones used in the vertical position.
If the total power level is too high when the
booster function is turned on, the heating
power for the other cooking zone in the pair
is automatically reduced.
