RS232 COMMUNICATION AND DATA LOGGING
All models pH500XY2 and mV600XY2 are provided with
an RS232 port.
Data transmission from the instrument to the PC is possible
with the
HI92500
Windows
®
compatible software by Hanna
Instruments.
The user-friendly
HI92500
offers a variety of features such
as logging selected variables or plotting the recorded data.
It also has an on-line help feature to support you throughout
the operation.
HI92500
makes it possible for you to use the powerful
means of the most diffused spreadsheet programs (Excel
©
,
Lotus 1-2-3
©
etc.). Simply run your favorite spread sheet and
open the file downloaded by
HI92500
. It is then possible
to elaborate the data with your software (e.g. graphics,
statistical analysis).

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
To connect your Hanna Instruments Office meter to a PC
use an
HI920010
cable.
Make sure that your meter is switched off and plug the con-
nectors, one to the meter RS232 connector and the other
to the serial port of your PC.
If your interface does not fully comply with the RS232 stan-
dard, wiring could be different.
The GND pin of the interface connector and all the interface
signals are optoisolated from the ground of the instrument,
the pH electrode and the temperature sensor.
Before connecting the meter to the computer, consult the
computer manual.
