Check whether safety instructions regarding the flatbed truck
are visible before loading the AWP. Ensure that the truck driver
has been informed of the dimensions and weight of the AWP.
Make sure that the flatbed truck has enough space and load capacity to transport
the AWP. Also, check the allowable contact pressure between the AWP and the
flatbed truck platform.
Loading and unloading the AWP
The AWP should be in the transport condition when it is loaded onto the flatbed truck:
-The upper boom is in the horizontal position.
-The lower boom and the middle boom are in the lowest position.
-The telescopic boom is retracted and the turntable is fixed in place.
-The swing boom may need to be lifted.
Loading the AWP
-Fix the wheels of the flatbed truck with wedges. Item 1 (Figure A)
-Fix the loading ramp of the flatbed truck to load the AWP with the smallest possible angle.
Note
: This machine is in its most compact state (the AWP is fully folded up) (Figure A).
Fixing the AWP
-Use wedges to fix each wheel(wedged at both ends) of the AWP on the flatbed truck. Item
2 (Figure A)
-Also wedge each wheel at both the inside and outside according to the position. Item 3
(Figure B)
-Anchor the AWP to the flatbed truck using a rope of suitable strength. Tie the rope tightly
at the front and rear and thread it through the lifting ring of the AWP. Item 4 (Figure A)
