Twin Otter ARF Assembly Manual

Nose Cone Installation

#4 x 7/16-inch woodscrews (3)

Tools Required

#1 Phillips screwdriver Ruler

Step 1

Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to install a #4 x 7/16-

inch woodscrew in each of the two holes in the top of

the nose bulkhead. Install them so that the head of the

screw is 1/8 inch from the face of the bulkhead.

Step 2

Slide the nose cone into place over the screws then

turn it counterclockwise to engage the screw heads in

the keyhole slots in the nose cone bulkhead.

Step 3

Use a #1 Phillips screwdriver to install a #4 x 7/16-

inch woodscrew in the lower left side of the cowling to

retain it on the fuselage.
