Note:
A two-view drawing of the PT-19A is provided as a
reference for placement of the decals provided in the
kit. The drawing also details other items the modeler
might want to add. See page 50.
Placement of Decals
Step 1.
Locate the stars (4) and field numbers (2 large,
2 small) provided in the kit.
Step 2.
Using a ruler, mark the location of the wing stars cen-
tered, at approximately 13
1
/
4
" from each wing tip, top and bot-
tom, and 4
3
/
8
" back from the leading edge of the wing. Trial fit
the star in position before removing the decal backing. Once
you’re satisfied with the location, remove the backing and apply
the decal. Use a soft cloth to rub out any bubbles in the decal.
You can also use a mixture of soap and water, applied to the
wing surface, and position the decal. The soapy water will allow
the decal to be moved into position.
Step 3.
The large yellow field numbers are centered approxi-
mately 20" from the rear of the fuselage (not the rudder) and 3
1
/
2
"
up from the fuselage bottom.
Step 4.
The smaller yellow field numbers are centered on either
side of the cowling. Some trimming may be required due to
holes, etc., in the cowling.
