Driving down slopes
When driving down slopes, drive as slowly as possible and with the utmost control.
•
Turn the speed regulator fully to the left (to the lowest speed)
before driving down a slope.
•
Lean your upper body to the rear and, when braking, brake gently.
Braking too hard can cause the scooter to tip forwards.

Obstacles
Driving over obstacles
•
Drive straight towards the kerb or other obstacle and stop when the front wheel is
almost touching the obstacle.
•
Then press the drive lever and drive onto the pavement without changing direction.
•
Once the front wheel is on the pavement, the same speed must be maintained so
that the rear wheels can also mount the pavement.
•
If it is not possible to drive onto the pavement, look for a location where the kerb is
lower.
•
Obstacles must always be approached at right angles.
•
It is always advisable to make use of kerbs lowered for vehicles rather than driving
over high kerbs.
•
Do not drive over obstacles which are higher than 7.6 cm.
Practise by driving over low obstacles, slowly increasing heights
until you are able to drive over obstacles of the maximum height.
Allow yourself plenty of time for this.
