OPERATION
INSTALLATION
1�
Disconnect the negative battery cable (-)�
2�
Install the temperature sensor�
– Water temperature: install the temperature sensor (supplied)�
– Oil and gearbox temperature: it may be necessary to drill holes and weld the adapter
nut (supplied) in place� Make sure that there is sufficient space on the inside for nut
and sensor� The sensor should be earthed automatically during the installation�
If not, sufficient earthing should be carried out�

Pull a standard cable with two wires and a cross section of 0�8 to 1�5 mm² through the
bulkhead via the lead-through� Connect one end to the contact on the temperature sensor
and the other end to the sensor contact (S) on the rear of the gauge�
NB
Do not allow the ignition cable to come into contact with the sensor contact (S)
on the rear of the gauge, as this may damage the sensor�
4�
Connect the cable from the central outlet on the rear of the gauge [GND (-)]
to a good earthing point on the engine, close to the sensor�
5�
Connect the cable from the ignition to the ignition terminal (l) on the rear of the gauge�
6�
Install the bulb on the rear of the temperature gauge and connect the cable
to the instrument lighting circuit or another 12 V power source�
7�
Reconnect the negative battery cable (-)�
