Test the alarms weekly and upon return from vacation or
when no one has been at home for several days.
•
Stand at an arm’s length from the unit when testing.
Test all smoke alarms weekly by doing the following step.
•
Firmly press the test button for at least 5 seconds. The
alarm will sound 3 short beeps – 1.5 seconds pause, then
repeat it until release the button. The alarm may sound
for up to a few seconds after releasing the test button.
Warning
If the alarm sounds, and it is not being tested, it means
the unit is sensing smoke,

Make sure the battery is installed well before operating

11.1 Send wireless coding mode
•
Take one alarm, press and hold the test button around
12 seconds, until the red LED light about 1second, then
release the button immediately, the alarm enters into the
sending status. The LED is always ON. If you press the
test button or have not wireless learning signal within
30 second, the LED will be OFF.
•
When any of alarm received this wireless coding, the red
LED of sending alarm will flash about 2 seconds. Then
re-enter into sending status, waiting for the next alarm
match. If there is no any alarm receive this command with-
in 30 seconds, it will exist sending mode automatically.
11.2 Learning mode
•
Take the alarms which need to make it into “learn
mode”, press the test button until the red LED light 1
second, then release the button immediately, the alarm
enters into learning mode.
•
If the learning is successful, the red LED flashes for about
2 seconds, then exit the learning mode automatically.
11.3 Clear code mode
•
Press and hold the test button on the alarm around 16
seconds until the red LED flash about 1 second, then
release the button, the alarm enters the clear code mode.
Note: enter this mode from standby mode.
•
After releasing the button, press the button when the red
LED lights up, release the button when the red LED is off,
repeat this operation two time, if you hear the sound of
`BI` sound, that indicates clearing is success, the alarm
will reset and get a new random code.
11.4 How to match each other smoke alarm
a. Take one alarm to enter into "send wireless coding
mode".
b. Take another alarm into learning mode, when the
red LED flashes for 2 seconds, which means that the
learning success.
•
Follow steps b to complete the all alarms.
•
Press the test button for exit the “ send wireless coding
mode”. The red LED will OFF. Wait for about 30 seconds.
•
Take one alarm, press the test button and hold for about
30 seconds. If other alarms all enter into the wireless
alarm status. That indicates a successful match.
12. Maintenance and Cleaning
In addition to weekly testing, the alarm requires periodic
cleaning to remove dust, dirt, and debris. Clean the alarm at
least once a month to remove dust, dirt, or debris. Use a vac-
uum cleaner with the soft brush, vacuum all sides and covers
of smoke alarm. Be sure all the vents are free of debris.
Note
•
Do not attempt to remove the cover to clean inside.
This will affect warranty.
•
Reinstall immediately after cleaning and then test unit
using the test button.
Warning
Use only the batteries specified. Use different batteries
may have detrimental effects on the alarm. A good safe-
ty measure is to replace the battery at least once a year.
13. Repair
Note
Do not attempt to repair the alarm. It will affect your
warranty.
If the alarm is not operating properly, and is still under
warranty, return it to the original place you buy. Pack it in a
well-padded carton, and ship to the original place you buy.
If the alarm is no longer under warranty, have a licensed
electrician replace it immediately with a comparable alarm.
