Special Considerations When Transmitting Morse
Morse code may be transmitted with the CWR6850 by selecting MORSE with the CW switch button
in the "out" position. The CW receive speed automatically adjusts to variations in the speed of the
received signal; to change the Morse transmit speed, use the slide SPEED control (up for faster
speeds and down for slower speeds). Select CWID A (button out) for CW transmissions.
The CWR6850 also includes the capability of transmitting several common Morse code prosigns.
These special characters are transmitted as run- together characters as you would send them by
hand. The following key combinations are used to transmit the prosigns:
