6. MAINTENANCE
6.1. Planned preventive maintenance tasks to be performed by the user
WARNING
The operations explained below may only be performed when the appliance is not
operating, i.e. it is switched off and the external switch is turned into “OFF” posi
-
tion .
It is recommended to perform the following operations at least every second
month:
a) safety valve: in order to prevent clogging and remove scale deposition, the safety
valve has to be operated regularly.
b) external cover: clean it with wet cloth dipped into soapy water. Do not use aggres
-
sive cleaning supplies, pesticides or poisonous products.
6.2. Routine inspection of the heat pump water heater
In order to reduce the number of possible errors to a minimum and ensure the per
-
fectly efficient operation of the appliance (which means maximum performance with
minimal operating costs) it is recommended to perform servicing at least every two
years. You should contact a service technician authorized in your area and request the
overall inspection of the appliance. The service technician should perform all planned
preventive maintenance operations.
6.3. Technical support
Before contacting the service station or the service technician authorized in your area
in case of a potential fault, please, check whether the fault is caused by extraordinary
circumstances, such as temporary power outage or water supply interruption.
In case of a possible repair, only original spare parts may be used, and the fault must
be eliminated by a qualified technician. Failure to observe these recommendations
may endanger the safety of the appliance and invalidate the responsibility undertaken
by the manufacturer.
6.4. Disposal of the heat pump water heater
The appliance contains cooling gas of type R134a that may not be emitted in the at

mosphere. If the water heater is taken permanently out of use. you should make
sure that the disposal operations cannot be performed but by qualified profession
-
als. The product conforms to Directive 2002/96/EC of the European Union.
The crossed out dustbin symbol on the data label of the appliance indicates that,
at the end of its service life, the product should be disposed separately from other
household wastes, and it should be either transported to a waste disposal site dedi
